AccuScan Solutions offers certified DNA relationship testing at our San Jose and Oakland locations. Whether you need a legally admissible paternity test for court proceedings, an immigration DNA test for USCIS, or a personal peace-of-mind test, our trained collection specialists ensure proper chain-of-custody procedures are followed for valid, court-defensible results.
The most common DNA test, establishing whether a man is the biological father of a child. Our legal paternity tests follow strict chain-of-custody procedures and are admissible in California family courts for child support, custody, and inheritance proceedings.
Identical accuracy to a legal test, but collected without strict chain-of-custody procedures. Results are for personal knowledge only and cannot be used in court. Ideal for private peace-of-mind situations.
Confirms whether a woman is the biological mother of a child. May be required for certain immigration and adoption proceedings.
Determines the likelihood that two individuals share one or both biological parents. Commonly used when a parent is unavailable for direct testing.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) may require DNA testing to establish a biological relationship between a U.S. petitioner and a foreign-born beneficiary. Results are sent directly to the U.S. Embassy or USCIS as required.
Determines the biological relationship between a child and grandparents, typically used when a parent is deceased or unavailable.
Book online or call 510-800-7506. All parties to be tested (mother, alleged father, child) should ideally attend the same appointment. If parties are in different cities, we can coordinate collection at separate times.
For legal tests, all participants must present valid photo ID. Our specialist photographs all parties and documents the collection process for chain-of-custody purposes.
DNA is collected via a simple, painless cheek (buccal) swab. We swab the inside of each participant's cheek to collect epithelial cells. The process takes 5–10 minutes and requires no blood draw.
Swabs are packaged in tamper-evident containers and shipped to our AABB-accredited laboratory partner. Scientists analyze 20+ DNA loci (genetic markers) for maximum accuracy.
You'll receive a detailed laboratory report within 3–5 business days. Results clearly state the probability of relationship (typically 99.99%+ for positive) or exclusion (100% certainty for negative).
Pricing per test. All parties must attend collection. Contact us for multi-party pricing.
